10 Second CPS Test

Ten seconds is the classic comparison length: long enough to be fair, short enough to repeat.

The comparison length

When people post a CPS score without saying how long the test was, it is usually ten seconds. The length goes back to the Kohi-style Minecraft PvP tests, and it is a good balance: each click is worth only 0.1 CPS, so luck evens out, and ten seconds is long enough for a little fatigue to show without turning it into an endurance test.

Reading your result

  • CPS is total clicks ÷ 10. 85 clicks = 8.50 CPS.
  • CPM is CPS × 60, the same pace expressed per minute.
  • Peak 1 s is your best one-second window. The gap between peak and average tells you how much you slowed down.
  • The chart has ten bars, one per second. A flat row means an even pace; a slope down to the right means your hand tired.

Getting a better 10-second score

  1. Start at 90 %, not 100 %. A slightly calmer start often gives a higher average because you do not fade in the last three seconds.
  2. Breathe. Holding your breath tenses the arm. It sounds silly and it works.
  3. Compare like with like. Use the same mouse, the same technique and this same length when you track progress.

10 Second CPS Test: questions

How many clicks in 10 seconds is good?

Roughly 50 to 80 clicks (5 to 8 CPS) is a common range for normal clicking. 100 clicks or more (10+ CPS) usually means jitter or butterfly clicking.

Is the 10-second test the same as the Kohi click test?

The format is the same: ten seconds, clicks per second at the end. Our Kohi page keeps that format with a few other lengths.

Why did my speed drop near the end?

Forearm fatigue starts within a few seconds of all-out clicking. The per-second chart in the result shows exactly when it set in.
